About the Old Masonic Lodge Building

This is the Old Masonic Lodge building in downtown Georgetown, Texas. With over 9000 square feet, the building offers stately and classic premium professional office space on the 3rd floor, as well as premium dining and lounge space on the first two floors.

The Old Masonic Lodge Building on the Historic Square in Downtown Georgetown is deeply steeped in classic sophistication and 19th Century gentility. They simply do not make grand buildings like this anymore.

This great building, located on Georgetown’s Square, was built in 1900. With an onion dome spire soaring majestically from the corner tower, the building is a major element in Georgetown’s streetscape and skyline. The Belford Lumber Company selected heavily rusticated limestone with which to construct the building, which features arched doors and window openings. The ground floor first housed a drugstore and, for a time, the post office before a furniture store took possession. The Masons continued to meet upstairs until 1982 when the building was sold and received it’s first major renovation. The distinctive dome, having been toppled in the 1920’s, was replaced in 1986.

The building sold again in 2001, and received another round of extensive renovation from the Damon Family. Today the 117 year-old building is splendid in its appointments, from a spectacular and unique balcony overlooking Georgetown’s lovely Courthouse Square, to the marble lobby and the refinished woodwork around the Grand Stair and Common Area Mezzanine. Completely ADA compliant, the building received completely new mechanical infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical, hvac and new elevator. The first 2 floors have been outfitted for an upscale restaurant, with kitchen and dining facilities on the first floor, banquet, bar and balcony access on the second floor. Executive offices are on the second and third floors.
